Hi, I’m Lindsay Dieterich, the artist and surface designer behind Caldwell Common. My creative career began in the social expressions industry where I designed greeting cards for five years before taking a position within my company’s illustration department. Throughout the following decade, I worked closely with freelance artists and art studios commissioning artwork for greeting cards, gift wrap, and other creative products.

Becoming an art director and an art buyer was truly a career game-changer for me. My love of illustration deepened and my eyes were opened to the possibility of working for myself one day as an independent artist. I knew when the time came for a change, I could (and wanted to!) sell and license my own artwork.

Fast-forward to today and I couldn’t feel more blessed and honored to share my labor of love with the world and to show my kids how they too can turn their passions into a business!
